Anamaria Marinca, born in Romania, is an actress. She was awarded an award called the British Academy Television Award of Best Actress for the Channel 4 Film Sex Traffic. She speaks fluently French, German English, as well as Romanian. Her father is a theater instructor at one of Romania's top acting schools. She starred in the Romanian film 4 luni 3 weeks si 2 days (4 Months, 3 Weeks, and 2 Days) by Cristian Mungiu. The film received the Palme d'Or at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival and two other prizes (the Cinema Prize of the French National Education System and the FIPRESCI prize). Youth Without Youth, a Francis Ford Coppola movie, was also a part of her career. In 2008, she played Yasim anwar in BBC mini-series The Last Enemy. Marinca appeared in the Romanian drama Boogie and in Oliver Hirschbiegel's critically acclaimed Five Minutes of Heaven. Later, she had a major part in the film Fury in which she played the role of a German woman named Irma Aunt of Emma.
